2 Month Report

I had my 2 month check-up yesterday. Dr Emery said I was "perfect"-- I already knew this, because mommy & daddy tell me that all the time. Everything was great, except for all those shots. Good thing mommy gave me medicine to help me before. I got 3 shots and one oral vaccine-- I liked the oral one and I also liked the Tylenol mom gave me-- I think I will have a sweet tooth like mommy! Daddy held me during my shots; he was so proud of me- I barely cried. They called me "sensi" throughout the day (short for sensitive, not a very nice nickname if you ask me)- I guess I was a little more sensitive than normal; but that is to be expected after what I went through!! I slept most of the day, but when I was up I liked to cuddle with mom or dad.

Now for the big verdict on my size... mommy was closest. I weighed 11 pounds- I am now in the 54% for weight (up from the 18th). I was 23 inches long, which is in the 73% for height (up from 17th). It looks like I might have some Vigen height on my side after all! My head is also growing, it was 15.5 inches, which is 67%. Since birth I have gained 4 pounds and grew 4 inches- Dr Emery was very impressed!

So sleepy.. that was a tough day; good thing I don't go back for another 2 months!

Two months old!!

I am two months old today!! Wow has the time gone fast!! Mommy is still at home with me; she tells me that she has to go back to work in about a month. Mommy tells me she will be very sad when she has to go back to work; we really have fun together at home.

I have my two month check up on Thursday, so we'll see how much I have grown- mommy and daddy have a bet on my weight (daddy thinks I am 13 pounds and mommy's guess is 11 # 15 oz). After my appointment, they are going to take me to see my Daycare and meet everybody.

I sure love my swing; I love to look at all the lights and colors.

I maybe love my swing a little too much... it is so comfy, perfect for afternoon naps!

Baptism

I had a very special day yesterday- it was my baptism. I was baptized at our church- St Mary's in Breckenridge by Father Popp. I wore a very special dress- it was made from Grandma Doris' wedding dress. My Godparents our Auntie Molly and Uncle Brent. There was lots of family present for the occasion; I feel so blessed to have so many special people in my life. The baptism went very well; mommy & daddy were so proud of me because I was such a good girl! I didn't even cry when the poured the water on me! Cousin Jake was sure that I was going to cry.

Eight weeks old!!

I am now eight weeks old; mommy and daddy keep saying how fast it has gone by! I slept through the night twice this past week; I am not sure yet if that is going to be the norm for me or not- I woke up a couple times last night, I have to keep mommy & daddy on there toes!

I have a busy week coming up- I am being baptized on Sunday and I have my 2 month check-up next week. Mommy & I have been busy this week getting ready for Baptism. We went to Fargo on Wednesday to go shopping- mommy needed an outfit to wear for the big day. I already have my special outfit- Grandma Doris had a special dress made for me out of her wedding dress, it is so beautiful and I am very excited to wear it. We had a good day in Fargo, mommy kept saying how good I was- I knew she was on a mission, so I decided to be extra good that day! The past couple days we have been cleaning the house since we will have lots of family over after the Baptism. I sat in my bouncy chair a lot yesterday and watched mommy clean the floors-- she kept me entertained. Today, I feel asleep to the sound of mommy vacuuming while I was in the carrier- that is a cool noise!

Between all the cleaning and shopping, we have had time to play-- I really like to lay on my back and kick around. I am close to rolling over (without the pillow). I have been talking and singing more-- lots of coos and smiles!

I have also found my hands now; this is almost better than my nuk-- I can have it at anytime!

Sweet Dreams

On Wednesday night, daddy was rocking me to sleep because mommy was taking a shower. When mommy got out of the shower and was finished getting ready for bed she thought it was strange that daddy was still with me (since it was almost 45 later). Mommy found us both sleeping in my room. Looks like I rocked daddy to sleep...

The next night a similar thing happened... mommy left the living room for a couple minutes to check her e-mail; in the mean time, me and daddy fell fast asleep. Mommy says we both have the amazing ability to fall fast asleep anywhere and at any time.
