Reality

As mentioned in prior posts from today (as I am trying to get everything from the last month up) we have been busy. Like most, the summer gets to be hectic- with lots of running around to the pool, park, zoo on the weekdays and off to the lake on most weekends. Don't get me wrong- I wouldn't have it any other way! I am thankful for the fact that I get to spend countless hours watching my girls giggle on the swing, swim at the lake, and so on.

As most you on you know, one my childhood best friends' son nearly drown last Friday. This has been a reality check for me, and for most I think. Life is so precious and we must be thankful for every day we have! Not that I take my children for granted, but with this recent event, I have been reminded of how precious those little miracles are!

Karter (Amber's son) is doing remarkably well. He has made big strides in the past few days-- weaned from the oscillator to a regular vent, off his BP meds, off paralytic, he has passed his EEG (brain testing), now moving his feet and opening his eyes. Yesterday, he even pointed to mom when asked!! What an amazing thing!! We pray for his continued progress and for strength for my dear friend, Amber Rose, and her family.
