March Madness

 We have had a busy March; Tim and I just got back from a week long vacation in Dominican Republic.  We had a great time and the girls did very well at home with the grandparents.  Bev & Gregg watched them for the first part of our trip and Doris & Randy came for the latter portion of the week.   They were very well behaved, or so we were told!  We were very glad to see them when we got home!!

Looking forward to a low-key weekend, we are going to walk in the March of Dimes walk Saturday morning and hopefully will have time to do the Easter Egg hunt in Breckenridge!

Piper has been requesting to sleep with Ava; this was our only attempt as 2 minutes later they were both up giggling.  Stinkers!!

Piper

 Piper.  Where to start?  She is all girl and has quite the personality.  She is still into dress up, painting her nails, getting into my lipstick (as you can see she likes to use it as blush too), drawing, dancing and playing barbies.  She has grown to be my little helper- she likes to help with Ava, help with supper and laundry.  Lets just hope this continues! :) 

She continues to go to preschool at Tiny Tykes.  She loves it, comes home with lots of artwork that she so proudly displays!  She is currently in gymnastics and dance, very fun for her!!

Ava Bean

At nearly 17 months, Ava is full of personality!!  She is a very determined and spunky 1 year old.  She loves to climb-- especially on things the shouldn't.  In a matter of seconds, literally seconds, she can climb up our stools onto the counter.  She'd crawl up the fridge if she could!  This makes for a dangerous one year old!! 

She has recently figured out the art of gymnastics!! She loves doing forward rolls like her big sister.  She also thinks she is very cool when she jumps!  Man does she get some air! :)

She is talking all the time; most of which we don't understand yet!  She says mama, dadda, banana, grandpa, Ava, ball and some variation of Piper that sounds more like daddy but it is meant for Piper.

She is sure a sweet girl and her little smile just melts our heart!

   

Jake's Golden Birthday

 Jake turned eight on February 8th!  We have a busy weekend that weekend; we went to Disney on Ice on Saturday morning with Grandma Doris, Harper, Grant and Auntie Megan.  I forgot my camera... bummer, because the smile on Piper's face didn't come off for the whole 2 hour show.

The following day was Jake's party at the BSA.  Lots of football was played!  he even had the national championship trophy there, along with some players.  So cool for all those little boys.  It was a great day!  Hard to believe that he is already eight!
